About Me

Hi! I am a PhD student advised by Prof. Shao-Kai Jian at Department of Physics and Engineering Physics, Tulane University. Previously, I studied as a master at School of Physics, Zhejiang University and was fortunately advised by Prof. Lih-King Lim since 2020. Before that, I studied as an undergraduate at School of Energy and Power, Guangdong University of Technology, where I worked with Prof. Kaige Hu in condensed matter theory from 2018 and Prof. Weitong Cai in catalytic chemistry from 2017. I am broadly interested in black holes, higher-dimensional holography, topological phases and critical states in quaiscrystals.

In recent years, I have focused on exploring topological states in quasicrystals [1], especially for:
(1) Topological phases in three-dimensional quasicrystals
(2) Fragile topological phases in quasicrystals
(3) Multifractal nature of topological surface states

News

10/2024 Our paper "Fractal surface states in three-dimensional topological quasicrystals" has been published on Phys. Rev. Research.
This paper explored the surface states of three-dimensional topological quasicrystalline insulators and showed their unique multifractal characteristics in stark contrast to their crystalline counterparts.
03/2024 I will move to Tulane University in collaboration with Prof. Shao-Kai Jian this fall.
01/2024 We find fractal surface states in three-dimensional topological quasicrystals arXiv:2401.11497.
08/2023 Now I am actively looking for a PhD position in theoretical physics!

Research Interests

(1) Representations of fractal bands in quasicrystals
(2) Entanglement entropy of fractal lattices based on conformal field theory
(3) Dynamics and thermalization in quantum quasicrystals
